I've always painted, it is what I do and what gives essence to me,
it is the one thing that gives me complete freedom of expression.
There are noted episodes such as where I was born, my childhood years or when I painted my first oil painting …
Or the impact of leaving Iran and starting a family in England,
those feelings of loss and gain have had a deep impact on the way I sense my surroundings every day.
I paint so that I can make peace with contradictions in my life.
I have an ongoing evolutionary and revolutionary relationship with the canvas, the paint brush and depictions.
I see paintings being the closest thing to poetry… I always paint with that in mind.
My last series, which is an inter linked gathering of canvases, touches base with my origin and
poetry and expresses my most private thoughts in a loose code of paint and shapes
